Builds for both platforms exist and are being tested privately while code signing is completed. The public download opens when each operating system will accept the package without you having to override it — ask on the download page and we will tell you the day it does.

A self-contained portable build runs from a folder without an installer. Its interface and Agent require matching trusted signatures before they exchange a message, so Authenticode signing comes next.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you scan.

Can this website scan my network?

No. The browser preview uses sample data. Real discovery runs in the desktop application on your computer, after you choose a range and authorize the scan.

Does scanning depend on a cloud account?

No. Local scanning works independently of cloud upload, and the desktop application is Local Only: your inventory stays on your computer. Cloud sharing and organization features are a separate, optional layer that is not required to scan.

What is the difference between the scan options?

Quick checks eight common TCP services. Balanced adds ICMP and checks twelve services. Thorough checks sixteen services with additional confirmation. Separately, Full ports is a selected-device action: it checks TCP ports 1–65,535 only on discovered devices you pick, shows the exact device × port work estimate, and can be cancelled.

Will it identify every device?

Not always. Device identification combines available MAC assignments, service information, and local announcements. Private MAC addresses, blocked responses, and incomplete evidence can limit results. Conclusions show the evidence behind them.

Will I need administrator rights or .NET?

The packages bundle their .NET runtime. The Windows x64 portable build is designed to run without administrator rights; WebView2 and organization security policies still apply. Native Windows acceptance is ongoing.

Why does my computer ask for network permission?

macOS may ask for Local Network access. Windows may show a firewall prompt or apply an organization policy. Allow the relevant private-network access only on a network you are authorized to scan. Cloud upload settings do not control these permissions.
